    • Gradualities
      July 29, 2010 | 5:06 pm

On paper, the previous third day of session brought along a lot of progress. Apart from the ICJ, every committee passed a resolution (or decision). But the impression of a sudden shift is misleading. There is always only gradual progress.

It might seem that the discussion becomes more and more structured towards the closure of the debate. But your fellow delegates do not just wake up and decide to cooperate in an orderly manner: The formal aspects of a debate are just as gradually improving as specific content and the overview over all the subproblems involved. It is a prime example for a learning process. The same thing, by the way, goes also for the SOFIMUN News Network team.

Now, most of you are standing at the beginning of a new discussion. You can’t take the developed solutions and arguments with you. But, ou can keep up the form. Stay well-structured and diplomatic. You do not really have another choice: Because tomorrow is already the last day of session, and the SOFIMUN world relies on you to find a solution.
